Parameters frame

Frame thickness

CSS3 enables the web designer to create a frame for the border element html-pages. For these purposes, we use the following style attributes:

The thickness of the frame can be set either an absolute numerical value, or relative, or one of the predefined values:

The style attribute border-width indicates the thickness values at once for all sides of the frame:

border-width: <thickness 1>[<thickness 2>[<thickness 3>[<thickness 4>]]]
EXAMPLE:

.class1 {border-width: 1px 1px 1px 1px} - the first value specifies the thickness of the upper line; the second - the right line; the third - the bottom line; fourth - of the left;
.class2 {border-width: 1px 1px 1px} - the first value specifies the thickness of the upper line; second - the left and right lines; the third - the bottom line;
.class3 {border-width: 1px 1px} - the first value specifies the thickness of the top and bottom lines; second - the left and right lines;
.class4 {border-width: 1px} - the only value is the thickness of the boundary lines of the web element.

Frame Color

The color of the border line web element html-pages given style attributes:

Frame color is set "explicitly", otherwise it can not be drawn. The value of transparent sets the "transparent" color of the frame.

The style attribute border-color sets the color of all the sides of the frame:

border-color: <color 1>[<color 2>[<color 3>[<color 4>]]]

Action attribute style border-color analogous to the border-width.

EXAMPLE:

H2	{
	border-bottom-width: 3px;
	border-bottom-color: yellow
	}

TD 	{
	border-width: medium;
	border-color: olive
	}

Type of frame

View within a given style attributes:

Possible values:

The style attribute border-style indicates the type of line to all sides of the frame:

border-style: <style 1>[<style 2>[<style 3>[<style 4>]]]

Action style attribute border-style similar to the effect border-width and border-color.

EXAMPLE:

H2	{
	border-bottom-width: 3px;
	border-bottom-color: yellow;
	border-bottom-style: dashed
	}

TD 	{
	border-width: medium;
	border-color: olive;
	border-style: dotted
	}

CSS3 allows web designers to specify once all parameters (thickness, type, color) to the left, top, right and bottom sides of the frame. This is done using the style attribute: border-left; border-top; border-right; border-bottom .

The style attribute border allows you to set all the parameters once the framework for all parties.

EXAMPLE:

H2	{
	border-bottom: 3px dashed yellow
	}

TD 	{
	border: medium dotted olive
	}

Webmaster must remember that the framework, as well as margins, resize the element html-pages.
