What is CSS

In the previous lessons were considered basic tags html. Already acquired knowledge will be enough to create a simple website. But, if you seriously want to develop sites without any knowledge of CSS you can not do.

CSS - Cascading Style Sheets contains a set of rules (styles) that describe the design of html-pages and its individual fragments.

For beginners, in order to make it easier to understand the style sheet, it is possible to draw an analogy with a residential home.

HTML - it is actually the house itself, its foundation, walls, roof.

CSS - a design house, its architectural design. It is a style sheet attached to the site attractive and aesthetic.

The stylesheets are written in CSS. The first version of the CSS was developed in 1996. In 2015 it developed a standard CSS3, which will be considered by us.

The style sheet can be stored or directly in a html-code of the page, or in a separate file. The second option is preferable because more appropriate concept of Web 2.0 . If necessary, a separate style can be placed directly into a specific html-tag, but this solution is rarely used.
