Free hits counter

This page presents a unique design of free counter taking into account page-by-page search requests and loading rate for each particular page.
This counter is an indispensable tool to promote a site.
It makes semantic kernel efficiency analysis easy and practical.
The counter displays quantity and text of search requests for each page of a site (where it is installed), rate of page full loading, and, of course, hits and hosts both for each page and for the whole site.
Main advantages of the offered free counter:
- Statistics are collected on the User's server where the counter is installed. Thus, almost complete data objectivity is achieved and page loading speed is increased (as compared to "third-party" counters);
- Visitors' search requests and searching engines are taken into account (except for basic indices) for each page where a counter code is installed;
- Counter discrete code assures totally comprehensive statistics;
- Counter is very easy-to-install. Any unskilled user can install it within several minutes.
Step 1
Now, let us familiarize ourselves with the counter of site hits and consider the rules of its correct and quick setting up and installation.
When the counter distribution package is downloaded, it is necessary to set up 'config.php' configuration file. Its content is as follows:
As a precondition, hosting service of the site where a counter to be installed should support php language and have an access to MySQL database. Fortunately, these requirements have become almost a rule, and this procedure should not entail problems. But in case your hosting company does not provide such services, you should better find another hosting company.
Data highlighted by red line should be obtained from your hosting AdminPanel. If it is a problem for you, you can refer to the technical support of your hosting company. If support service is of good quality, you will get a reply in five minutes.
Data highlighted by green line, you should provide yourself. This is login and password to access a counter AdminPanel.
Step 2
Download counter files to your server, into a separate folder (for example, entitle it "counter").
Step 3
Launch installation file. To do this, enter the following string in browser slot: http://mysite.ru/counter/install.php
where:
mysite.ru - address of your site;
counter - title of the folder containing counter files (the folder should be kept in the root directory).
After successful installation a message will be displayed that installation is successfully completed.
Step 4
Log into the counter AdminPanel by entering login and password recorded in the configuration file.
"General statistics" page
Total number of browsing, hits and hosts for a site is displayed. In order to have complete site statistics it is necessary to install counter code on all site pages.
"Detailed statistics" page
Apart from hits and hosts the number of search requests from a specific searching engine for each particular page of a site is displayed along with full page loading rate. For example, loading rate of 66.6% shows that, in one case out of three, User didn't wait for full page loading.
In order to browse search requests that led to one or another page, click on quantitative index of a specific searching engine.
"Counter code" page
One of three variants of counter button color scheme should be selected.
Counter code "1x1" should be copied and pasted to the upper part of html-page code (for example, immediately after tag)
Counter code "88x31" should be copied and pasted to the lower part of html-page code (to the usual location of counter buttons).
"Settings" page
The only parameter requiring to be set is time of statistical data storage on server.
Below you can find the counter appearance. The upper digit of the counter indicates the rate of the given page browsing. Two lower ones show the number of hits and hosts for the whole site (it goes without saying that it is shown for the pages where the counter is installed).
